Amaravati IT Tower is the first IT office tower by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the capital city of Amaravati. Built in an area of 5 Acres, the Amaravati IT Tower is designed to be presented in a campus-like setting. The design is aimed at achieving sustainable quality apart from providing world-class amenities, outdoor spaces and
transition spaces.
The project responds to the local tropical climate with an enhanced self-shading strategy resulting in a facade that has a visual rhythm and pattern. A Computer CPU is taken as an inspiration to mould the office tower areas with a central service core. Keeping with a high ground water table in view, one cellar with mechanical parking is provided, and four columns above ground are allotted to cater to the entire parking. The northern portion of the site is left open for all required, mandatory open-space activities. All linear strips around the building have been tactfully landscaped to compliment the outdoor setting.
The design of the upper levels gets divided into two tower blocks with innovative connectivity at the 1st and 2nd floor and the designated upper level. Such design has given the opportunity to have maximum use on the entire periphery of three sides and uninterrupted office floor spaces tender flexibility to the design.
